Fluke Testing and 25-Year Warranties

What Fluke DSX Testing Verifies

The Fluke DSX-600 and DSX-8000 CableAnalyzers test every Cat6A node against the TIA-568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards — the same standards referenced in structured cabling manufacturer warranty programmes. The test measures wire map (correct pin-to-pin connectivity), insertion loss, NEXT (Near-End Crosstalk), FEXT (Far-End Crosstalk), return loss, and propagation delay. A node can pass visual inspection and still fail on NEXT due to an improperly seated keystone jack — a fault that only a DSX tester reveals.

For 10Gbps Cat6A installations, NEXT margins are critical — a poor termination that passes Cat5e standards will fail Cat6A NEXT requirements and limit the link to 1Gbps. We test every single node, not a sample, which is standard practice for professional structured cabling installations in the UAE.

  • Wire map, length, propagation delay, and delay skew testing per node
  • NEXT, FEXT, and return loss verification to TIA-568-C.2 standard
  • Pass/fail result with margin data showing headroom above minimum
  • DSX test report exported as PDF with per-node results for client records
  • Failed nodes re-terminated and re-tested until passing — no exceptions

25-Year Manufacturer Warranty Qualification

Leading structured cabling manufacturers — Belden, Panduit, CommScope, and Legrand — offer 25-year channel performance warranties on installations that use their end-to-end system (cable, jacks, patch panels, patch cords from the same product line) and are tested and registered by a certified installer. We are certified by these manufacturers, which means our installations qualify for the full warranty programme.

The warranty registration requires uploading the Fluke DSX test data file (not just a PDF — the raw .flw data file) to the manufacturer portal. We submit this registration and provide you with the warranty certificate, which is transferable to a new building owner and demonstrates due diligence for commercial property fit-outs.

Fibre Optic Testing with OTDR

For multimode (OM3/OM4) and single-mode fibre runs, we use an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) to characterise each fibre link — measuring insertion loss, connector return loss, and identifying any bend or splice issues along the cable run. The OTDR trace is delivered with the test report, documenting the fibre infrastructure for any future troubleshooting or third-party verification.
